The latest from Lenovo is the A7000, an improvement on the A6000. With a price tag of $169 this smartphone has a 5.5inch screen. It will also bring the stunning Dolby Atmos technology to a phone for the first time. A big difference in comparison to the A6000 smartphone is the fact that this phone is powered by a MediaTek processor and not Qualcomm.
Microsoft has introduced two new Lumia Windows smartphones- Lumia 640 and Lumia 640XL at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Lumia 640XL is one of the largest phones you will ever use and despite that it is not a 6-inch device. The 5.7-inch screen could offer good value for mid segment users who want extra real estate.The smaller Lumia 640 offers a 5-inch screen.
Both the Lumia smartphones offer one-year free subscription to Microsoft Office 365. Featuring a 5-inch 720p HD display, the Lumia 640 comes with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 1MP front camera. It runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB. Microsoft is also offering 30GB of free OneDrive storage. The Lumia 640 is powered by a 2500 mAh battery.
Gionee has launched its new flagship phone the Elife S7 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. At 5.5mm it will be the world’s thinnest smartphone with dual SIM card slots. The phone will be launched in India on April 3. The Gionee Elife S7 runs on a 1.7GHz octa-core Mediatek 6752 CPU with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It will also feature a Freescale sensor hub. Ruuning on Amigo OS 3.0 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop with OTA, the smatphone comes with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8 front camera. The 13MP camera is flat and does not protrude from the slim frame of the phone. There will be a 3.5mm jack too with Hi-Fi sound powered by DTS. IT will also have a dual SIM array catering to FDD and TDD LTE. The phone is powered by a 2759 mAh battery and is priced at EUR 399 or around Rs 24,000.
